the first world where you really feel the interaction between
the individuals and the group, the whole of world2 is very different
from the individual pieces.
world2 is also the first to be made in porcelain.
Porcelain is the most 'noble' of the materials with which Miwa works.
Its qualities make it particularly interesting to her. Porcelain has
memory (skilled practitioners will tell you it often has a life of its
own) and incredible permanence (of all human objects, ceramic forms have
survived the longest)
